Who we are

Excel Formula Practice runs excelformulapractice.com. If you have a question about your data, email [email protected].

What we collect

• Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and how you sign in (password or Google). Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication and we never see them.
• Your progress: the exercises you solve, the formula you used, when you solved them, your XP and your streak.
• Billing: if you buy Premium, Stripe processes your payment. We store your Stripe customer ID and the status of your subscription, never your card details.
• Messages: what you send us through the contact form.
• Your browser: if you practice without an account, your progress is kept in your browser's local storage until you sign up.
• Usage statistics: Google Analytics records which pages are visited, the type of device and browser, the approximate location (country or city), and how visitors found the site. It uses cookies to tell visits apart, but it doesn't tell us who you are.

How we use it

• To run your account and save your progress.
• To give you Premium when you pay for it, and to send receipts (Stripe sends these).
• To answer your messages.
• To see which pages and exercises are useful, so we can improve the site.
• To keep the site secure and stop abuse.

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

• Google Firebase (Google Cloud) stores accounts and progress.
• Stripe processes payments.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
• Our hosting provider serves the website.

Each of them only processes data to provide their service to us.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to remember progress before you sign up. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to count visits and see how the site is used. We don't use advertising cookies.

You can block these cookies in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics on every site with Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same either way.

Your choices

• You can change your name or delete your account and all your progress from your account page.
• You can ask us for a copy of your data or ask us to correct it by emailing [email protected].

How long we keep it

We keep your account while it's open. When you delete it, we delete your profile and progress right away. Payment records are kept by Stripe as required by law.

Children

The site is meant for learners aged 13 and over. If you're a teacher using it with younger students, contact us first.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect.
